Joseph provides his clients with an environment of safety and ease in which to receive therapeutic treatment and self-care education. His work is an integrative approach which utilizes Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point/acupressure, myofacial release and gi gong therapy. In partnering with his clients intentions for obtaining bodywork, he seeks to assist them in such areas as; releasing stress and its accompanying tension, reducing pain, increasing range of motion and capability, improved energy and deeper restfulness, a heightened sense of well-being, increased circulation and detoxifying, assisted recovery from injury and avoidance of injury through increased and improved awareness, and general relaxation for overall improved health. 

Joseph is fundamentally a pragmatist- seeking first things first, one step at a time, each piece in context as part of the whole, and keeping things simple; an empiricist- utilizing an understanding of form and function, experiment, research, knowledge and skills, and building on success; a humanist- with a deep respect for individual differences of mind, body, spirit, process, experience and journey; an evolutionist- with a healthy appreciation for the basic instinct to survive and thrive through movements towards pleasure and away from pain; a behaviorist- underscoring cause and effect relationships in how we can relate to time, space and our own, as well as others, behavior; a romanticist- awe inspired by passion and compassion the likes of Don Quixote's 'Impossible Dream'; and a muscular therapist- with hands trained as a technician and a heart humbled in touching the lives of others.

Joseph received a BA with double major in Psychology and Philosophy, trained in dance and hatha yoga, worked as a mental health counselor for 18 years, and enjoys architectural design and renovation, landscape and gardening, world cultures and religions.
